BibliotequesXBM is the application developed by the Diputació de Barcelona that enables users to securely store their library cards and those of their family members on their mobile devices. The app grants convenient access to library services, allowing users to browse the catalog and manage personal spaces. Within the personal space section, users can view borrowed documents, renew items, place reservations, or cancel them at their convenience. Moreover, the application facilitates the booking of Internet sessions at library premises.

Users can easily discover nearby libraries and activities, as well as locate them on the map by either their current position or a designated location. Detailed search options by keyword, date, activity type, municipality, library, or bibliobus are available. Additionally, users have the ability to save preferred activities and libraries both within the application and sync them with their phone calendar. Furthermore, users will receive timely notifications about various events and updates related to their favorite libraries and mobile library services.

The app provides essential details about each library such as operating hours, map location, directions, contact information, and a schedule of upcoming activities. For bibliobusos (mobile libraries), information regarding stops, activities, and document requests are also available through the application.
